# Bell Works > Bell Works is a mixed-use destination developed by Inspired by Somerset Development, operating reimagined former telecommunications facilities in Holmdel, New Jersey and Hoffman Estates, Illinois (Chicagoland), with a third location in Tinton Falls, New Jersey (Fort Monmouth) opened in 2025. Founded in 1995 and rebranded to Inspired by Somerset Development in 2022, the company pioneered the "Metroburb" concept, integrating office space, coworking, event venues, dining, retail, fitness, healthcare, education, and entertainment under one roof. The Holmdel flagship occupies the 2 million-square-foot former Bell Labs facility designed by Eero Saarinen (1962), listed on the National Register of Historic Places and featuring a quarter-mile indoor atrium beneath one of the largest photovoltaic glass canopies in the world.
