Bell Theater presents: Marc Ribler and Friends: A Folk Rock Retrospective

November 7 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Join us at Bell Theater on Friday November 7 for Marc Ribler and Friends: A Folk Rock Retorspective.

In 1961 Bob Dylan burst upon the Greenwich Village folk music scene. By 1965, he single-handedly changed the course of modern music with his “electric” performance at The Newport Folk Festival. The Byrds quickly followed and exploded on the scene with their version of “Turn Turn Turn” and Bob’s song “Mr. Tambourine Man” and their very unique vocal sound, which included David Crosby and Roger McGuinn. Roger also brought the Rickenbacker 12-string electric guitar to the forefront, which went on to influence great bands, like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. After booking a tour to England in 1966, Bob chose The Hawks to be his backing band and renamed them “The Band.” This began the next incredible chapter as one of the most influential bands in rock history.

Join us for an incredibly diverse and dynamic musical celebration of the most influential of all modern songwriters, Bob Dylan, and his offspring that took over the world in the heart of the ’60s.
