Card-Making Event with C.I.T.Y of Support

“Bell Works Tenants, Village Networking guests, and the local community are invited to make cards in The Square for the local non-profit, C.I.T.Y of Support* from 10am-12pm on January 14!
CITY of Support (Children in Therapy and You) is a nonprofit organization both online and in person serving parents of children in therapy. One of our initiatives is to partner with local NICU units to provide parents being discharged from the hospital with information and resources, inviting them to explore our welcoming community. These resources are packaged in giftbags that contain information about our organization, a small wallet to hold the business cards of their various doctors/specialists, a board book (Spanish/English), a welcome note from a fellow CITY community member, and a welcome/congratulations card made by a volunteer.
After the warm nurturing, supportive care these families received in the NICU, CITY can be there 24/7 to help new parents navigate some of the overwhelming feelings and questions that abound as they begin a journey with their child that family and friends may not understand. We are proud to be distributing “”Welcome to Our CITY”” giftbags in nine hospitals in the Chicagoland area, and this number is continuing to grow.”
